Sunquest Information Systems Inc. Announces Most Successful Year in the Company’s History

Strong Finish for 2009 Fiscal Year Continues Into First Quarter Fiscal Year 2010

TUCSON, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., a privately held market leader in laboratory and diagnostic information systems, today announced that the Fiscal Year 2009 ending May 31 was its most successful in the 30 year history of the company. This success is continuing into the new fiscal year, as sales orders for first quarter FY 2010, ending August 31, 2009 increased more than 30 percent compared to the same quarter a year ago.

Revenue for Sunquest jumped 15 percent in first quarter compared to the same quarter in 2007 immediately prior to the company’s acquisition by Vista Equity Partners. Combined sales of Collection Manager and Transfusion Manager increased 757 percent from the previous year’s quarter.

Sunquest posted a strong finish at the end of its fiscal year May 31, completing sales that included signing eight laboratory information system (LIS) related sales that will improve care for patients at 28 hospitals. Sales of the company’s diagnostic IT solutions remain robust.
