Phoenix: Everspin Announces Deal with Emerson Network Power

Everspin partners with Emerson Network Power on new computer boards

Phoenix Business Journal

Everspin Technologies will be putting its nonvolatile memory onto single-board computers made by Emerson Network Power in a deal announced this week.

Chandler-based Everspin will use its magneto-resistive random-access memory, which stores data without a charge, on Emerson’s new computer boards designed for industrial applications.

Terms of the deal were not announced, but officials at Tempe-based Emerson said they chose the Everspin technology because of its ability to read and write at high speeds and store data in the event of power outage.

Everspin has developed good markets in storage systems, industrial automation and gaming, but the application for the Emerson products is a relatively new field and a growing business for the company, officials said.
