Applied Energetics gets Navy contract
Tucson-based Applied Energetics Inc. said it has received a $992,000 contract for the design, development and delivery of an ultra-short-pulse laser system to the Navy.
The company will produce a demonstration system designed to explore ultra-short-pulse laser effects and determine requirements for deploying the lasers on Navy and Marine Corps aircraft. The system is expected to be delivered to Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Ind., in ayear.
