Phoenix Business Journal
Honeywell International Inc. named Tim Mahoney as president and CEO of its Phoenix-based aerospace business.
He replaces Rob Gillette, who left the $11 billion-a-year unit to become CEO of Tempe-based First Solar Inc.
Mahoney has more than 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry and has worked in sales, operations, information systems and engineering at the Morris Township, N.J.-based Honeywell (NYSE:HON). He most recently was chief technology officer.
“As chief technology officer, he helped to build Honeywell Aerospace’s global presence and leadership positions in mechanical and electronic products and services across commercial, defense and space applications,” said Honeywell Chairman and CEO Dave Cote.
Honeywell Aerospace produces products for integrated avionics, engines, systems and service solutions for aircraft manufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military, space and airport operations.
