JDA Software to expand growth, investment in China

Phoenix Business Journal

JDA Software Group Inc. will launch a support and services center in China, expanding its presence in the region to meet growing demand.

JDA (Nasdaq:JDAS) officials are hoping to solidify the Scottsdale company’s position providing supply chain and merchandising software by quadrupling its Chinese work force. The company would not release the size of its financial investment or the total number of people it is going to hire.

“With growing interest among China’s retail and consumer goods companies to adopt industry best practices, JDA is significantly ramping up efforts to serve this demand with a new support center and by increasing our local work force to interface with our Chinese customers and prospects,” said Stephen McNulty, JDA regional vice president, Asia Pacific.

The expansion to its support, consulting and sales teams in China will be done over the next two years, officials said.
