Tucson: Sunquest Executive Becomes President of American Interfaith Camps

TUCSON, Ariz. & RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., a market leader in laboratory and diagnostic information systems, today announced that its president and CEO, Richard Atkin, has accepted a leadership role in American Interfaith Camps, Inc. (AIC). AIC’s mission is to provide an environment where there is opportunity for children of different backgrounds to play, eat, pray, and grow together as friends both in body and spirit. Sunquest is the first corporate sponsor for the organization. This year’s camps will host an international delegation of children, welcoming participants from Israel, Palestine, and Costa Rica to join campers from the United States.

“The goal of AIC is to create an opportunity for as many children as possible to experience the camp program, and to provide them with the leadership tools to become advocates for peace and understanding in their respective communities,” said Richard Atkin, president and CEO of Sunquest Information Systems. “The goal for AIC is to add more weeks to the existing program, and expand geographically, establishing additional camp locations or affiliated programs throughout North America, Europe, and the Middle East.”

Mr. Atkin’s commitment to AIC is the latest in a long history of Sunquest and its staff’s advocacy for community outreach and participation in local and international charitable activities. Most recently, Sunquest and its staff have made generous contributions of resources to World Vision, community food banks, Aviva Children’s Services, and company-sponsored blood drives.
