SDCmaterials Inc. received $14 million in venture capital this week from three firms and several individuals
The Tempe-based company makes advanced catalysts and additives for the petroleum, chemical and refining industries as well as composites for industries including vehicle and aircraft armor.
The Series B funding was led by Invus Financial Advisors and included Emerald Technology Ventures and BASF Venture Capital.
“We are pleased with our ability to attract a significant new investor, Invus, while maintaining support from Emerald, BASF and other investors during this period of global economic difficulties. The Series B round recognizes the progress demonstrated in the company’s technology and recognizes the significant potential of the company,” said Maximilian Biberger, CEO of SDCmaterials.
The company was founded in 2004.
